In 2006, through suggestions of Nicholas Captain, I submitted an abstract for possible presentation during the 23rd PPC San Francisco, USA. By default the paper made it as part of the proceedings of the Congress.
In 2008, I suggested to good friends Yvonne and Mary, to join me in the 24th Congress held in Seoul, Korea, as my paper made it again for presentation in the Congress. During this time, I was already sending feelers that we wanted to rejoin. I remembered that the Congress board of governors mentioned that we have to show commitment to attend the biennial Congress as a precondition to being reinstated in the Congress, as we found it very lonesome not to see the Philippine flag during the parade of colors.
In 2014, from three delegates we became five with Mary, Yvonne, Carol and Honorable Paeng.
From 2010 to 2014, I have consistently nagged associates in the industry from other sponsoring countries to present our intention to be reinstated and finally we made it.
2018 is the year when the Philippine flag will march with the other member countries during the 29th PPC in Tijuana, Mexico to be held on October 8-10, 2018. This will be a big event in Mexico as this will coincide with other big events such as LIV National Valuation Congress of the Mexican National Valuers Association, XXXII Pan American Valuation Congress and the 1st International Appraisal and Valuation Book Fair and Exposition.
We have two years to prepare to show our force!
